I’m not a ‘Trekkie’. Never have been, never will be. But if I WAS, the app I’m about to tell you about would be more than enough to get me down feather to an Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) Store with cash-in-hand for an iPad. For those that know Star Trek interior and out, they’ll know that a PADD (Personal Access Display Device) is a personal tablet device that many members of the crew carried around with them. The device looks remarkably similar to the iPad… Imagine that. Recognizing this, some crafty developers rich person put together a new app called ‘Captain’s Log‘, which for all intents and purposes turns the iPad UI into the typical ‘PADD’ interface. The app displays the stream ’star topology appointment’, lets you checkout your chain armour, spot tweets, checkout facebook activity and more. I think the screenshot above pretty much says it all.

Live long and prosper.
