Although you wouldn’t be able to tell from their website, Rogers (NYSE: RCI) has begun rolling out a new data plan for 15 GB at $150/calendar month, hinted at earlier this summertime. I gave Carl Rogers a call to see what’s up, and apparently they’re just soft-launching it for now to guage pastime, which, as you tin imagine, mightiness be fleeting. The only example unity could imagine such a plan having any appealingness whatsoever is if the client is packing a Rocket Stick and manipulation it as a primary internet joining for relatively heavy-duty manipulation, or schism it among multiple users. Data costs 1 penny/MB if you somehow manage to go over your 15 GB limit. Currently, the 6 GB/$30 plan should handle the overwhelming bulk of smartphone users, but apparently the promotional monetary value will be run out on September 24th. What do you guys think – $150 is pretty insane for an individual to be shelling out every month, but is there a corporate need for this book of radio information?
