Samsung today announced 2 high gear-density memory solutions for mobile devices. The new repositing solutions – a 64-gigabyte (GB) moviNAND memory gimmick and a 32GB micro secure digital (microSD) memory card – satisfy mobile handset designers’ requirements for advanced compact high gear-denseness store.
The store solutions ar based on Samsung’s advanced 32 gigabit (Gb) NAND flash. The 64GB moviNAND, which measures 1.4mm in stature, consists of 16 30nm-course 32Gb MLC NAND chips and a controller. The 17-dice stack was achieved by exploitation 30-micron midst chips and advanced package engineering. With the new 64GB solvent, Samsung’s proprietorship embedded memory, moviNAND, is now available in 64GB, 32GB, 16GB, 8GB and 4GB densities.
The 32GB microSD circuit board, developed this month, stacks octet 32Gb NAND components and a card controller. The industry’s highest capacity, production-ready microSD card is enabled by the manipulation of Samsung’s advanced 30-nm course 32Gb NAND flash memory engineering. Samsung’s new 64GB moviNAND has been in mass product from Dec 2009, piece the 32GB microSD is now organism sampled with OEMs, with bulk production expected next month.
