Not as epic poem as the 1600 news tilt yesterday, but that’s because today had a lot of duplicates and dead RSS feeds. Notice how many Nokia blogs used to exist and now no longer father’t? When the Nokia N95 came out, it was the most epic poem gimmick on the facing of the satellite, and then a class later the iPhone was launched and many of these blogs stopped updating. Is that a coincidence? I tin counting on 1 hand the figure of Nokia/Symbian blogs I used to read when I started out (November 2006) that ar distillery here today. Anyway, down to 175 RSS feeds. Interestingly, O2 is also Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s collaborator carrier for the iPhone 3G. And, if tradition holds, O2 volition also be Apple’s UK collaborator for the upcoming iPhone 2009. We oasis’t been listening much from Motorola lately in price of phones here at MobileBurn HQ, thanks largely to the troupe’s financial and legal issues. But that somehow made our little rendezvous with the Motorola QA30 Hint for Cricket Wireless all the sweeter.

In spite of the fact that this little 3G QWERTY electronic messaging earphone hasn’t been picked up by either of the big subject CDMA carriers, the QA30 Hint turns out to be a really merriment, capable little joy. It weighs a respectable 123g (4.3oz), but it is the earphone’s super-compact 86.5mm x 62mm x 16mm (3.4in x 2.4in x .6in) dimensions, when closed, that really grab your attention.

Once you surface it up, however, the nicely laid out 4 rowing QWERTY keyboard takes the centre stage. The keys are a bit stiff, perhaps, but it is very usable. The 2.5-in QVGA solving exhibit is more than adequate for the job at hand, but Motorola’s user port does capitulation a bit shortstop at multiplication, lacking the gloss that users expect in today’s marketplace. But polish or no, the phone is plenty usable and fun.
